Judging/Club Talks

I am available to do the following presentations and talks at Camera Clubs:

1. Judging Competitions & Club Exhibitions - In 2014 I Judged my first International Salon, the Edinburgh International Exhibition, and as of April 2014 I have been voted onto the PAGB National Panel of Judges, and also sit as an assessor on the IPF Distinctions Panel. As someone with over 1,000 images accepted into National & International Exhibitions, over 200 Medals and countless awards, I think I am well equipped to give feedback on your Club's images. I have a reputation for providing constructive feedback, designed to encourage photographers rather than prompt walk outs!

2. Photoshop Tips and Tricks - including a live image edit. This can be for beginners or more advanced.

3. Introduction to luminosity masks, showing how targeted selections and adjustments can be made, based on either brightness and/or colour values in the image. An extremely powerful editing technique.

IN PERSON TALKS

2. Photoshop - this can be geared towards beginners or advanced, depending on your members' needs. Everything from basic levels, curves, dodging and burning etc, to creating complex digital composites, luminosity masks, intricate selections etc etc:

3. Passion for Prints - a presentation of up to 150 prints mounted to 50 x 40 cm, demonstrating my journey from camera club journeyman to LRPS and finally to MPAGB, with plenty of advice, anecdotes and information in between! Designed to inspire your members on to greater things...!

4. Off-Camera Flash - a demonstration on 'how and why' it is best to take the flash out of the hot-shoe, and how quality pictures can be taken with minimal equipment. My most successful image ever, 'Stephen' was created on a camera club demonstration night using a single Canon speedlite and umbrella:

Feedback from Malahide and Dundalk camera Clubs:

"Your images were superb and it was easy to tell that you present for a living! Great feedback from everyone afterwards."
"I was there last night for your presentation and I just wanted to say that it was one of the better nights I have experienced. Great presentation and great images."
